1:32participants raised questions on tax
1:34policies, investment incentives, the
1:37role of Vietnam's international
1:38financial center in connecting with the
1:41global financial ecosystem, and the
1:43development of long-term financing
1:45instruments, including real estate
1:47investment trust or REITs.
1:51>> Um having a REIT allows us to put the
1:53stable assets as a new financial product
1:56for investors. It'll attract
1:57international investors, open up
1:59opportunities for domestic investors,
2:02but more importantly, it allows us to
2:03recycle that capital.
2:05When new investors come in, that frees
2:07up capital to invest billions more into
2:09the infrastructure, which is going to be
2:11critical for Vietnam's success of
2:13hitting its target of 10% growth.
2:16>> Beyond tax incentives and attractive
2:18returns, investors need a transparent
2:21legal framework to have full confidence
2:23in investment environment. Clear legal
2:25mechanisms for resolving disputes are
2:28equally important in strengthening
2:30investors trust.
2:32The dialogue not only showcased
2:33Vietnam's emerging investment
2:35opportunities, but also created a direct
2:38platform for engagement between the
2:40government and the international
2:41business community, helping translate
2:44investor interest into concrete
2:46cooperation projects in finance and high
2:49technology.
