Philippine Airlines will buy 34 new planes from Boeing and Airbus. The total cost is over $12 billion.

Lucio Tan is the chairman of Philippine Airlines. He attended a press conference in Manila on August 28, 2012.

The new planes will be delivered starting in 2031. There will be 20 Boeing planes and 14 Airbus planes.

Lucio Tan III said the investment shows they believe in Philippine Airlines. The airline will keep growing.

The airline raised $300 million by selling bonds. This happened before they ordered the new planes.

The airline is getting new planes and expanding. They made a profit of 9.6 billion pesos in 2025. Revenue increased by 3.2%.

The airline added new flights to cities like Chicago and Vancouver. They will also start flying to Dubai again in October.

The Philippines had 3.16 million visitors in the first half of 2026. This is 5.4% more than the previous year.

Most countries that visit the Philippines had more visitors. Except for South Korea, all the top 12 countries had an increase in visitors.
