Manchester Airport Workers Find Out They Are Brother and Sister
Over two years, they became closer and found out they both liked motorbikes. They sometimes joked that they looked and acted like siblings.
Urmston once said, 'We're like brother and sister, aren't we?' Green remembered this in an interview.
Two airport workers found out they are biological siblings who were separated when they were adopted.
In 2007, Green told Urmston he was adopted. She said her family had a brother named Stuart who was adopted as a baby.
Green said his birth name was Stuart Proudlove.
Urmston asked her mom to check if Green was her brother. His birthdate and birthplace matched their family's information.
Urmston's mom had Green when she was 15 and had to give him up for adoption. She tried to find him but couldn't.
When they found out they were siblings, Urmston took Green to meet their mom. On the way, Green saw places he had driven his bus past without knowing his family lived there.
When they met, there were tears. Green's mom hugged him and looked at Urmston.
His mom said, 'You kept your promise,' because Urmston had promised to find her brother when she was six.
Now, Green and Urmston live together in Kidsgrove, Staffordshire. Their mom passed away a few years ago.
BBC Breakfast told their story, and it got a lot of attention on social media.
