Angel Reese had a bad shooting night, missing 10 of 13 shots, and was hit in the face.
During the Atlanta Dream's 104-69 win over the Connecticut Sun, Reese had a run-in with Sun player Aaliyah Edwards.

Reese tried to make a layup while being double-teamed, and Edwards' hand hit her face and head area.
Angel Reese was thrown down in a heated moment with Aaliyah Edwards.
Edwards fell to the floor behind Reese after the hit. Reese then stood over Edwards and shouted at her.
Just moments later, Reese gestured to show that Edwards hit her in the neck.
Edwards' foul on Reese was upgraded to a Flagrant 1 after review.
The foul was not discussed in the Dream's postgame press conference.
But the foul was not the only tough moment Reese faced on Thursday.
Early in the first quarter, Brittney Griner blocked one of Reese's shots. Griner blocked two more of Reese's shots later in the game.

But Reese got back at Griner with blocks and a steal, which the Dream shared on social media.
Reese finished the game with eight points, making just three of 13 shots, and had 15 rebounds.
Flagrant fouls in the WNBA have become a big story in 2026. Other notable fouls include Alyssa Thomas' punch and Dijonai Carrington's smack.
The WNBA is dealing with controversy over hard contact and cultural discussions.
