Mark Gurman from Bloomberg reported that Apple is testing two versions of AirPods with cameras. One is called B798 and the other is B790. The B790 version is new and is being developed quickly.

Gurman said that the B790 model is mentioned in the iOS 27 beta code. This means Apple could launch the product this year. If Apple follows its usual schedule, the new AirPods could be released in September with the new iPhone.

The new AirPods might be called AirPods Pro Ultra.

The cameras on the AirPods will not take pictures or videos. Instead, they will help an assistant like Siri. There will also be a small light to show when the cameras are working.

Apple is also working on smart glasses, but their release might be delayed due to privacy concerns.

Apple will still sell regular AirPods that are only for listening to music and podcasts.

The new AirPods will be an interesting topic to follow.
