Singapore Durian Prices Rise as Malaysia's Season Ends

Austin Quak, the co-founder of Rolling Durian, said the price of Musang King durians is now S$28-S$32 per kilogram. This is up from S$20 last month. The price increase is due to lower supplies from Malaysia.

Quak said prices will keep going up because demand is high and supplies are low.

Some people agree with Chan. A man named Chia said he bought cheap durians, but they were not good.

Chia said the cheap durians were small and did not taste good. He thinks they might not be from Malaysia.

Chia would rather pay more for good durians than buy many bad ones.

He prefers to buy a few good durians from a trusted seller.
