From CEO to Food Delivery Rider: Indera Aria Wee Jeeny’s Comeback

The platform started in October 2019. At its best it had riders in Kelantan, Terengganu and Kedah and earned up to 6 million ringgits in profit, according to Harian Metro.

Indera Aria Wee Jeeny was the chief executive officer. He later said a digital‑infrastructure incident disrupted the system and the core business, causing large losses.

Profits began to fall in January 2021. To keep the company running, Indera sold his assets so he could still pay the employees.

The father of two soon could not afford food. He told reporters, “I even had to dig for coins to buy food,” and he walked long distances because he had no vehicle.

A former employee encouraged him to try delivering food himself. On his first day he earned only 20 ringgits, enough to buy a meal for his child.

Now Indera works as an independent delivery rider, charging customers 5 to 10 ringgits per errand. He says he hopes to become an entrepreneur again and create jobs for others.
