Man Admits to Making a Homemade Crossbow to Shoot Crows

A man in Singapore made a homemade crossbow because crows in his neighborhood were too noisy.

He used it to shoot metal balls at the crows in his housing area, but a neighbor reported him to the police.

Seah Yam Seng, 59, admitted to doing something reckless that put people's safety at risk.

He also faces other charges for damaging a neighbor's windows with the metal balls.

The court was told that Seah bought materials online to make his crossbow, which is against the law.

He also bought metal balls to shoot at the crows.

Whenever the crows made noise, Seah would shoot the metal balls from his window, even though people walked by.

He did this at least five times.

Seah did not want to hurt people, but he knew they walked in the area.

Sometimes the metal balls missed the crows and hit other things.

Even so, Seah kept shooting when the crows annoyed him.

One morning, Seah was upset by the crows and shot the metal balls again.

A neighbor saw Seah aiming his crossbow and reported him to the police.

The police were called.

Seah has a mental health condition that contributed to his actions.

The court wants to know if Seah should get special treatment and delayed his sentencing.

The prosecutor did not disagree with the court's decision but did not say what sentence they want.

Seah could go to jail for up to six months and be fined a lot of money.

Since he did this many times, his punishment could be even worse.
