Lewis Hamilton Keeps Third Place at British Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton did not get a penalty after the British Grand Prix. He finished third, behind George Russell and Charles Leclerc. Hamilton was in second place but stopped for tires when Max Verstappen crashed.

Hamilton told Sky Sports, 'All the good things I had on Friday disappeared over the weekend.'

Hamilton said, 'I will probably get a penalty. I went through a yellow area without seeing it. I also started too early.'

Hamilton said, 'I just talked to the officials, but I don't have an answer yet. I think I will get a penalty. My car was not handling well, which was my fault and the engineer's fault.'

The crowd at Silverstone was upset when they realized the safety car would not let the cars race again.

A message said the safety car would leave the track, but it did not.

The FIA explained that the safety car rules say one lap must be completed after certain procedures. They said a software error caused a wrong message to be shown.

The FIA followed the rules, but the 'safety car in this lap' message was shown by mistake due to a software problem.

The FIA said they did everything correctly, but a technical issue caused confusion.
