Kai Trump Shows How Young People Can Support a Parent With Cancer

When her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, 19‑year‑old Kai Trump chose to help her family and turn the experience into a charity project.

Vanessa Trump announced her breast cancer diagnosis in May. By June she was recovering from surgery and preparing for more treatment.

Kai Trump, the eldest child of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump, told Fox News Digital that the most important thing is to spend time with a loved one during treatment. She said, “The advice I’d give is just … spend time with them, be there for them.” While their mother was in treatment, Kai and her four siblings took on extra chores at home to keep her calm and less stressed.

Now a freshman at the University of Miami, Kai launched a new clothing collection that includes a charitable component. She explained that the sales will help breast‑cancer research and families affected by the disease.

Kai’s story shows young people that being present for a family member and sharing the workload can make a hard time easier, and that personal challenges can inspire actions that help others.
