Why Gia, Hibana by KOKI and Anan Saigon Keep Their Michelin Stars

According to the Michelin Guide, Gia, Hibana by KOKI and Anan Saigon earned their first Michelin star in June 2023 and have retained that single star every year, including the awards announced in June 2026.

Gia is situated near Hanoi’s historic Temple of Literature. It serves contemporary Vietnamese cuisine, drawing its name from “gia dinh,” the Vietnamese word for family, and it reinterprets local flavors with seasonal ingredients and modern techniques.

Hibana by KOKI is a 14‑seat Japanese teppanyaki restaurant inside the 5‑star Capella Hanoi hotel. The venue offers live cooking performances by skilled chefs who work with premium imported ingredients, creating an intimate dining experience.

Anan Saigon, located on Ton That Dam Street in Ho Chi Minh City’s Cho Cu wet market, turns street food and traditional dishes into fine dining. The head chef uses fresh local produce and French culinary techniques, presenting dishes such as a banh xeo taco and fish‑sauce ice cream.
