The Golden Ratio

The Golden Ratio

The Golden Ratio
The Fibonacci numbers were first used in Europe in 1202 and create a golden rectangle shape. Some people think this shape is very nice. However, Gustav Fechner's idea that people like it best was later proven wrong. The golden ratio appears in some flowers and natural things, but not everything, like snail shells. For example, snail shells grow in a different pattern.
Some people claim the golden ratio can determine beauty, using it in apps or social media pictures. But this is not true. Scientists say the golden ratio cannot measure beauty. Everyone is unique, and that's what makes us special. The golden ratio is just a number. It's not a measure of beauty.
There are some difficult words to know: sequence means things following each other, rectangle is a shape with four sides, and shell is the hard outer part of some animals.
