Clancy’s defence lawyer asked the judge to remove a juror after the foreperson wrote that the juror would not follow the judge’s instructions about reasonable doubt.

Judge Sullivan refused to remove the juror and reminded all jurors and alternates to follow his instructions and stay away from any news or outside discussion.

The jury has said they cannot agree whether Lindsay Clancy is criminally responsible for killing her three children.

If the jury cannot reach a decision, the judge could declare a mistrial.

Lindsay Clancy, a 36‑year‑old former labour and delivery nurse, admitted she strangled her three children in 2023, and her lawyer said postpartum psychosis was a factor.
