Hong Kong, the world's second most visited city, welcomed 31 million tourists in seven months

Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po said Hong Kong has long been a popular place for big exhibitions and conventions, partly because it has many international transport links, according to China Daily.

About 140 airlines link Hong Kong, a special administrative region, to more than 225 destinations worldwide, giving travelers many direct and connecting flight choices.

In May, Hong Kong International Airport opened a second passenger terminal. The new terminal is part of a US$14.5 billion expansion meant to keep the airport competitive with hubs like Singapore Changi and Dubai International.

Terminal 2 houses 15 airlines, mostly low‑cost carriers such as AirAsia, IndiGo, Bangkok Airways, Cebu Pacific, Hainan Airlines and Cambodia Airways, Bloomberg said today.
