Director‑General Mohd Amirul Rizal Abdul Rahim explained that the three new offerings are designed for distinct tourist groups, blending education, gastronomy, agriculture, culture, nature and local community experiences.
The 118 packages comprise 29 Edu+ 2.0 packages, 23 EatVenture gastronomy packages and 66 Taste of Orchard agro‑tourism packages.
He added that the expanded range of offerings will encourage repeat visitors to discover new attractions, explore more destinations and extend their stay in Malaysia.
Malaysia retained its position as Southeast Asia’s most visited country after recording 21.12 million international visitor arrivals in the first half of 2026, a 2.5 % increase from a year earlier.
The January‑to‑June total was also 17.7 % higher than the same period in 2019, before the Covid pandemic, indicating that the country’s tourism recovery remains on track, according to the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry.
By adding education, food and farm‑based experiences, Malaysia aims to sustain the upward trend in arrivals and give tourists more reasons to stay longer and return in future trips.
