Lisa wore a bright red dress at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles. She walked the blue carpet with a sleek high ponytail and looked very confident.

The 2026 show was her return after first appearing at the VMAs in 2024. This time she arrived with four solo nominations for her song “Dream”: Best Pop, Best K‑pop, Best Cinematography and Best Editing.

The four nominations highlight the recognition of her solo music. Blackpink also received two group nominations, but Lisa’s solo nods were the main focus of the night.

A few weeks earlier, Lisa attended the Toronto International Film Festival for the premiere of her documentary “Always Lalisa.” She also works in fashion and film.

In a Reuters interview, Lisa said working independently helped each Blackpink member develop greater confidence and a clearer artistic identity.

After the four members spent time on individual projects, Blackpink reunited. Lisa said they stay close, share messages, and bring good energy when they are together.

Lisa has also expanded into fashion and film, and she founded the company LLOUD to manage her music, fashion and film activities.

Lisa’s solo projects show that an artist can develop confidence and a clear artistic identity while still being part of a group.
