Malls across Singapore are turning beauty shopping into an experience. Traditional cosmetics counters are being replaced by larger standalone stores and dedicated beauty spaces where buying blends with consultations, treatments and hands‑on activities.
At Ion Orchard, more than 30 beauty boutiques now occupy two basement levels, forming a dedicated beauty district that lets shoppers explore a wide range of brands in one concentrated area.
One standout is Lancome’s La Maison de la Longevite, the first concept of its kind in the region. It pairs biological‑age skin analysis with specialised treatments, offering a science‑based approach to longevity.
Raffles City’s Beauty Vault, launched in 2024, expanded dramatically. Its 2026 edition featured a 66 % rise in brand participation and an 18 % increase in visitor numbers, turning the space into a bustling showcase of beauty, skincare and wellness.
The trend is not limited to city‑centre malls. Suburban centres such as Jem and Tampines Mall are also adding standalone beauty stores and experiential services. “Jem was among the first suburban malls to bring in standalone stores for international beauty and wellness brands including Chanel, Dior, Shiseido and others,” said Jenny Khoo, head of retail and workspace management at Lendlease.
For shoppers, the new format provides personalised advice, on‑site skin analysis and the chance to try treatments that cannot be replicated online. Brands gain more room to build lasting relationships, while malls create a compelling reason for visitors to spend time beyond a quick purchase, helping them compete with e‑commerce.
