A mother's belief helps autistic son show love through art
Tim Sharp: Khi bác sĩ nói con không biết yêu
Nguồn: ABC
When doctors said Tim Sharp could never feel love, his mother Judy Sharp refused to believe them.
Doctors told Judy Sharp that her three‑year‑old son Tim would be "unfeeling and incapable of love". Judy felt shocked but she kept hoping for her son.
Tim was born in 1988. His mother is Judy Sharp. A specialist later diagnosed Tim with autism.
After the diagnosis, Tim began using drawings to communicate his feelings. The pictures let him share his sense of humour and love for his mum.
Tim started drawing at age five. He later began speaking, and he created the Laser Beak Man character, which later led to performances around the world.
Tim says he loves his mum because she is kind, patient and always with him. He tells her he feels happy when they are together.
Tim’s story shows that autistic children can express love in non‑verbal ways. It reminds us to listen to their own ways of communicating and not limit them with narrow medical predictions.
