In‑N‑Out Burger chooses not to work with any online food‑delivery services such as DoorDash or GrubHub. The company says it wants to keep its food made fresh and served directly to customers.
Because the chain does not offer app delivery, a black market has appeared on Facebook Marketplace. Drivers in Southern California list In‑N‑Out orders and ask for an extra $20 to $50 on top of the food price.
A reporter for L.A. Material tried this service. He contacted a driver who said his name was Adrian Vazquez from Glendora, California. The driver asked for $50, half up front. The reporter sent $25 through Zelle, but the driver never replied.
In‑N‑Out’s owner and CEO Lynsi Snyder repeated her opposition to mobile ordering. She said, "Part of what makes In‑N‑Out and the experience so special is the interaction and customer service we're able to give. And so the mobile ordering will definitely take a piece of that away."
When asked about the Facebook Marketplace deliveries, In‑N‑Out said it had no comment.
