How Vietnam’s Q4 Investment Push May Shape Jobs and Stocks
Đà đầu tư quý IV: Chìa khóa định hình việc làm và chứng khoán Việt Nam

Vietnam’s economy grew 9.01 % in the first nine months of 2026, far outpacing the global 2.9 % expansion. This strong start makes the government’s year‑end plans especially relevant for anyone thinking about jobs, savings or the stock market.
The government’s full‑year target is at least 10 % growth, which means the fourth‑quarter GDP must rise above 12 %. Public investment is identified as the main driver that could push the economy to that level.
By the end of September, public‑investment disbursement had reached about VND 643,000 billion, or 63 % of the prime‑minister’s target, leaving a large amount to be spent in the last three months. Faster spending is expected to spill over into construction, steel, cement, transport, logistics, real estate, tourism and other services.
Investors have already reacted. On October 5, steel producer Hoa Phat (HPG) rose 2.24 % as traders anticipate higher demand from the upcoming projects.
If the government accelerates spending, the extra infrastructure should create more jobs, raise production and encourage private investment, helping Vietnam reach its double‑digit growth goal. In everyday terms, this could mean more hiring, higher company profits and a stronger market for Vietnamese workers and savers.
