Samsung is reportedly preparing a much larger Galaxy Z family for 2027. The plan includes six foldable models, which could change how we use smartphones every day.
According to technology leaker @TheGalox on X, the 2027 lineup may add the Galaxy Z TriFold 2 and a rollable‑screen phone named the Galaxy Z Slide. This would be the biggest Galaxy Z range Samsung has ever announced.
The Galaxy Z Slide is said to have an expandable rollable display that slides from the back of the phone to the front, giving users a larger screen when needed. The design lets a compact device turn into a wide‑area display for watching videos or multitasking.
Creating a rollable phone means solving tough engineering problems, such as making the display durable and perfecting the moving mechanism. Samsung will also need to protect internal components while the screen moves.
The upcoming devices are expected to improve battery capacity, become thinner and lighter than current models. If Samsung launches the Galaxy Z Slide, flexible‑display technology could move from experimental concepts to a commercial product, bringing the niche foldable market closer to mainstream consumers.
In short, Samsung’s 2027 foldable roadmap could introduce new form factors that reshape everyday phone use. The success of the Galaxy Z Slide would mark a major step toward making flexible screens a common part of our mobile lives.
