Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk will make his first official visit to Vietnam on October 24‑26. The trip comes after an invitation from Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, according to Vietnam's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The leaders plan to talk about bilateral relations, trade and strategic cooperation. They will also look at how to carry out the strategic partnership roadmap, as noted by the Polish Prime Minister's Office.
They will discuss how to balance trade between the two countries and how to help Polish companies work in Vietnam. The visit is also meant to strengthen Poland’s relations with other Southeast Asian nations, the Polish Prime Minister's Office said.
Vietnam and Poland have had diplomatic relations for 76 years, since February 4 1950, when Poland first recognized the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. Over those years they have cooperated in many sectors, and the October visit gives both sides a chance to expand that cooperation.
