Da Nang is stepping up its effort to attract foreign direct investment, aiming for double‑digit economic growth and stronger industry. For young Vietnamese, this surge could mean more job openings in new high‑tech sectors.
City officials say that ready‑to‑use land, reliable infrastructure, skilled labour and streamlined procedures are the main reasons investors choose Da Nang. By keeping these advantages, the city hopes to keep the investment flow steady.
Germany’s Kärcher Group has started the second phase of its cleaning‑equipment factory in the Tam Hiep Port and Logistics Industrial Park. The expansion, worth about 484 billion VND, will raise the workforce from roughly 300 to 1,000 employees within two years.
The 417‑hectare Tam Hiep Port and Logistics Industrial Park already hosts 41 secondary projects, providing stable jobs for more than 1,250 workers. Nearby, Tam Thang Industrial Park has attracted 19 foreign‑invested projects, creating jobs for nearly 14,000 people. In the first nine months of 2026, Da Nang recorded $681.55 million USD in FDI, 2.87 times the amount a year earlier, and licensed 100 new projects worth $522.2 million USD, bringing the total to 1,162 FDI projects.
All these investments translate into thousands of new positions, especially in high‑tech manufacturing and logistics. Young professionals in Vietnam can therefore expect a broader range of career opportunities as Da Nang’s industrial base expands.
