Vietnam’s prime minister, Le Minh Hung, welcomed Polish prime minister Donald Tusk in Hanoi on October 26 for high‑level talks aimed at deepening bilateral ties. The meeting signals a growing partnership that could bring new chances for Vietnamese students and workers.
During the talks the leaders noted that bilateral trade reached US$3.94 billion in 2025, a 14.8% rise from the year before. The increase shows that economic links are already strengthening, which often creates more internships and entry‑level positions.
Both governments said they will focus on emerging fields such as tourism, science and technology, artificial intelligence and renewable energy. Poland also identified Vietnam as one of its top priority partners in Southeast Asia, highlighting the strategic importance of the relationship.
Poland’s past support included training more than 4,000 Vietnamese students and over 3,500 skilled workers between the 1960s and 1990s. That history suggests the two countries could revive similar programmes, giving Vietnamese youth access to modern tech and engineering training abroad.
If the partnership continues to expand, Vietnamese learners may find scholarships, joint research projects or jobs in Polish firms operating in these new sectors. The key takeaway is that stronger Vietnam‑Poland ties could translate into real educational and employment opportunities for Vietnam’s next generation.
