The photo exhibition “World Heritage Sites of Vietnam” opened in Hanoi on October 26, just before Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (Nov 23) and Vietnam Culture Day (Nov 24). It offers a visual tour of the country’s most treasured sites, making it a must‑see for anyone interested in Vietnam’s identity.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong said that heritage assets preserve the nation’s history, identity and creativity, acting as invaluable national treasures and part of humanity’s common heritage. His remarks underline why the exhibition matters for cultural pride.

The show displays 100 photographs of 30 UNESCO‑recognized Vietnamese heritage sites, spanning world cultural, natural and mixed heritage, as well as intangible and documentary collections. It also highlights elements in urgent need of safeguarding, such as Ca tru singing, Cham pottery‑making and Dong Ho folk painting.

The exhibition aims to raise public awareness of heritage preservation, foster patriotism and encourage younger generations to carry forward cultural values through visual storytelling. By presenting these images, the organizers hope to connect people emotionally with the sites and traditions.

Visitors can explore the exhibition at the 29 Hang Bai Exhibition House in Cua Nam ward, Hanoi, until November 3. The event demonstrates how photography can support heritage protection and inspire a new generation to value Vietnam’s cultural legacy.
