Vietnam Airlines flight VN35 had to land in Pakistan because a German passenger had a seizure. The incident shows how airlines deal with health problems that happen in the air.
A doctor on board examined the passenger and said he needed urgent medical care, so he advised the crew to land. After about six hours in the air, the crew changed course and landed at Islamabad International Airport. The airline worked with ground staff, refueled the plane, and later cleared it to continue to Munich. Vietnam Airlines also helped the passengers who missed connections to find new travel.
This is not the first time the airline changed a route for health reasons. Flight VN38 was diverted to Yangon when a pregnant passenger gave birth, and flights VN524 and VN36 were diverted to Hong Kong and Kolkata for other medical emergencies. Vietnam Airlines advises passengers to check their health before flying and to tell the airline about any problems.
The story shows that airlines can act quickly to get sick passengers to medical help. It also reminds travelers to look after their own health before a flight and to inform the airline if they feel unwell.
