Nguyen Thuy Giang and Nguyen Hoang Thach lived opposite each other in Van Xuan Commune, Phu Tho Province. Their houses were only a 4‑meter street apart, so their families knew each other well.

Because the two homes were so close, the wedding procession lasted only 30 seconds. Giang said the bride and groom reached the groom’s gate while the bride’s party was still inside her house.

After they married, Giang said she can visit her parents dozens of times each day and can call across the street for childcare. She also said living so close lets them attend every family gathering and share meals easily.

Giang’s mother had earlier told her that marrying close to home would keep the family close, and she now sees that benefit every day. The couple’s story shows how a 4‑meter distance can make wedding plans simple and daily life supportive.
