Viewers may soon get free access to a big streaming platform.

Free streaming services like BBC iPlayer have become very popular with hit shows.

Disney Plus is thinking about adding a free tier with its paid content.

Disney's tech chief talked about this option in a streaming meeting last Thursday.

However, no timeline or details about the content were shared.

A Disney Plus executive talked about introducing a free tier.

A Disney+ subscription costs £5.99 per month and offers many hit series and movies.

If Disney Plus introduces a free tier, it will stand out from other services.

Prime Video and Netflix do not offer free content, except for a free trial.

Some services like Paramount Plus offer free sample episodes to attract fans.

Disney Plus fans might get access to big shows without paying if the free tier is introduced.

Rivals is one of Disney Plus' most popular shows.

Many popular shows like Rivals and The Mandalorian are available on Disney Plus.

The service also has a big library of older hit shows like Desperate Housewives.

The free tier will likely not include all of Disney Plus' content.

Disney Plus currently offers three subscription plans, including a standard plan with adverts for £5.99 per month and a premium plan for £14.99 per month.
