Durian Exports Increase, But Prices Decrease
China is the main buyer of Vietnam's durian, with $987.9 million worth of imports, up 43.1 percent from 2025.
Exports might reach $4 billion by the end of the year. Peak harvest months could see $1 billion in exports per month.
Despite strong export growth, prices have dropped sharply.
In July, Vietnamese durian sold in China for 20-30 yuan per 0.5 kilograms, lower than last year's 35-45 yuan.

In Vietnam, durian prices ranged from VND25,000 to VND85,000 per kilogram, depending on the region and type.
A farmer said traders used to buy all his top-grade fruit at VND70,000 per kilogram, but now they don't.
The farmer said durian prices are lower this year, and traders aren't placing deposits to buy fruit like before.
