Two former nurses, Ahmad Rashad Nadir and Sarah Abu Lebdeh, are accused of being mean to Israeli people in a video.
In short:
A video of two former Sydney nurses will now be used as evidence in court.
An appeal changed a decision to not use the video in the trial.
What's next?
The two nurses will go to trial at the end of August.
A court decided that a video can be used in the trial of two former nurses who are accused of saying mean things about Israelis.
Two former Bankstown Hospital nurses, Sarah Abu Lebdeh and Ahmad Rashad Nadir, said they are not guilty of using a service to scare and bother people.
Ms Abu Lebdeh also said she is not guilty of threatening violence to a group.
Ms Abu Lebdeh said she is not guilty of threatening violence to a group.
The nurses' lawyers said the video should not be used because it was not obtained properly and it broke privacy laws.
Last month, a court agreed with the nurses' lawyers.
But the other side took the case to a higher court, which changed the decision.
The higher court said the video can be used, but some parts might not be made public.
The reasons for the decision cannot be published yet.
The country where the video was made is disputed.
Lawyers argued about where the video was made.
One lawyer said the video was made in Israel.
He said the person who made the video was in Israel.
The nurses' lawyers wanted the video to not be used.
Mr Nadir said he is not guilty of using a service to scare and bother people.
A lawyer said the crime was partly done in NSW because the nurses' computer was used.
He said the computer's microphone was used to record the conversation.
He said the conversation was in both Israel and NSW.
The other side said they need the video to prove their case.
They said the jury needs to see and hear the conversation to understand it.
They said without the video, their case is much weaker.
The nurses will go to trial at the end of August.
