Hiker Found in Strathcona Park on Vancouver Island
A search team found a hiker who was missing from Strathcona Park on Vancouver Island since Monday.
The search team leader, Paul Berry, said they found Keshav Jindal, 25, in a steep area.
Two hikers started their trip from Ravens Lodge to climb Mount Albert Edward. They began early in the morning. The hikers then split up. One of them reported the other missing.
The two hikers split up, and Jindal's partner reported him missing. Jindal continued his hike alone.
The search team found Jindal near Moat Lake. This was the area they thought he would be in. They found him on some cliffs.
Jindal is alive, but his condition is not clear. He was taken to a hospital by air ambulance on Thursday.
A 72-year-old hiker was attacked by a bear. Another hiker was found dead.
A missing hiker from Kamloops was found dead on a mountain in Washington.
The trail is used a lot this time of year, but it has some hard parts.
The search teams were hopeful they would find Jindal because the weather was good.
