Singapore Airlines adds relief flights after Mount Anak Krakatau eruption disrupts Singapore‑Jakarta routes
Indonesia’s main airport reopened after the ash cleared, allowing flights to start again.
Singapore Airlines responded quickly. SIA told CNA that it will add eight relief flights on Tuesday, 8 Sep – four from Singapore to Jakarta and four returning flights. Seats are limited.
SIA said it cancelled 18 flights on Monday and another flight that was due to leave Jakarta early on Tuesday. It also moved six scheduled Tuesday morning flights to the afternoon.
SIA will progressively rebook affected customers on the next available flight, subject to seat availability, SIA added.
The airline asks passengers to check the Flight Status page for the latest updates, as the situation can still change.
