Rogers finished the year with eleven hammer‑throw victories. The last came at the Silesia Diamond League in Chorzow, Poland, where she threw 77.09 metres to claim the win.
She also recorded the five best women’s hammer‑throw marks of the season – 79.36 m, 79.63 m, 80.03 m, 80.09 m and 81.13 m. The 81.13‑metre throw set a new North America and Canadian record, surpassing her own previous best.
At the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Rogers defended her title and broke her own Games record with a 74.91‑metre throw, securing a second gold medal for Canada.
Rogers captured her sixth Canadian hammer‑throw championship, marking her fifth consecutive senior national title and underscoring her dominance at home.
“This season has been amazing. I have had the best throw of my life, and to close the season with this throw is wonderful,” Rogers said after her Silesia victory.
Her string of victories, record‑breaking distances and multiple titles distinguishes her from other elite athletes, making her a strong contender for the World Athletics women’s athlete of the year award.
