How a Rolls‑Royce stunt helped a hawker stall double its sales
The video was a publicity stunt to promote Seven Claypot, a Muslim‑owned stall that sells claypot assam pedas. The car was not his; his friends suggested using it for the promotion.
The clip quickly went viral, getting more than 505,000 views, over 10,600 likes and many comments. People were surprised to see a hawker with a luxury car.
Before the video, Seven Claypot earned about S$600 a day. After the video spread, daily sales jumped to over S$1,200.
By the end of September, Ezam said he had already recovered the S$35,000 he spent on renovating the stall, far earlier than the nine‑month break‑even he expected.
The stall also attracted diners from Woodlands, Jurong and Choa Chu Kang, who travelled to try the claypot assam pedas.
