The Royal Meteorological Society says the competition received 5,500 entries and selected 30 photographs for the final list. The organisers say these shortlisted images are an important reminder of climate‑change impacts.

Long Coc tea hills cover more than 670 hectares and are famous for sunrise and Milky Way photography. Being shown in a global contest may attract more tourists and help people notice the area’s climate challenges.

The public can vote for the winning picture on the Royal Meteorological Society’s website until November 5, and anyone in the world may take part. Remember, the photo’s inclusion can boost tourism and raise awareness of climate change.
