ThaiBev May Sell KFC Business in Thailand

ThaiBev made 14.2 billion baht in profit in the first half of the year, which is 3.2% less than last year. Its revenue was 173.2 billion baht, down 2.5%.

The company's food business made 54 million baht in profit, which is 21.7% less than last year. This is because of higher costs from expanding restaurants and taxes.

ThaiBev is part of a big business group owned by Charoen, which also includes a property developer and a packaging firm.

Charoen and his family are very rich, with a net worth of $11.5 billion, according to Forbes.
