India Allows Durian Imports from Vietnam

India has added Vietnam to its list of countries that can export durians.

India does not have special rules for importing durians from Vietnam. This decision came after talks between the two countries.

Exporters should study what Indian consumers like and how to get the fruit to them.

Earlier this year, Vietnam had trouble exporting durians to China because of new rules.

Many shipments were delayed, and the price of durians in Vietnam went down.

During the harvest season, there were many durians. The amount of durians produced in the first half of the year increased by 12.7% to 603,300 metric tons. This was a lot. Vietnam produced more durians than other fruits.

Vietnam might export $2 billion worth of durians by the end of July, even though prices are low in China.
