Blake Lively is asking for over $8 million in legal costs from Justin Baldoni and his company, Wayfarer Studios.

Lively's lawyers said they spent $7,495,526.87 on lawyer fees and $539,514.01 on other expenses.

Lively's lawyers said their work on the case was necessary to win.

Baldoni and his company used strong tactics to try to win the case.

They could have stopped the case at any time, but they did not.

Lively's lawyers said $4.5 million should go to one law firm and $3 million to another.

One of Lively's lawyers, Michael Gottlieb, said he worked 224 hours on the case.

Gottlieb said he billed $457,000 for his work on the case.

Another lawyer, Kristin Bender, worked 293 hours and billed $454,808.

Aaron Nathan, another lawyer, worked 142 hours and billed $224,672.

Meryl Governski and Michaela Connolly also worked on the case and billed a lot of money.

Melissa Taustine worked 210 hours and billed $270,198.

More than 7,000 documents were used in the case.

Baldoni and his company have until July 13 to respond to Lively's request.

Global News asked Baldoni's representative for a comment, but did not get one.

Lively and Baldoni settled their case last month, just before a trial.

Baldoni denied Lively's claims and was removed from the case in April.

Lively did not get any money in the settlement, but she may get some of her legal costs back.

Lively's lawyers are trying to get a judge to make Baldoni pay her legal bills.

Lively's lawyers say she is entitled to the money under a California law.

A judge threw out Baldoni's $400 million defamation claim against Lively last year.

Baldoni's lawyer said Lively is trying to get around the settlement.

The settlement was reached without Baldoni paying any of the $300 million Lively wanted.

Baldoni's lawyer said reopening the case would be like having another trial.
