ITV's The Dark is coming soon with a gripping new thriller.

The wait is almost over for the new star-packed ITV thriller, The Dark.

The countdown has begun with less than a week until The Dark starts on ITV.

The six-part Scottish drama will premiere on Sunday, July 12, at 9pm, and the second episode will air the next day.

The Dark is about a cat and mouse game to catch a serial killer.

The Dark will air on Sundays and Mondays until its finale on Monday, July 27.

All six episodes will be available to stream on ITVX on the first day.

The Dark is based on Halliday's novel From the Shadows and follows Detective Monica Kennedy.

A young man's body is found in the Scottish wilderness, and Detective Kennedy thinks this is just the start of something terrifying.

As people get more paranoid, secrets come out, and the locals realize there is a serial killer among them.

Laura Donnelly plays Detective Monica Kennedy and is known for her role in Outlander.

Donnelly has also been in Marvel's Werewolf by Night and other shows.

Helen Baxendale from Friends is in The Dark.

The cast includes Mark Rowley, Helen Baxendale, and Emun Elliott, among others.

Matt Hartley, who wrote The Dark, is honored to be working with ITV on this new thriller.

Hartley is grateful for the chance to work with ITV's Director of Drama, Polly Hill, and the producers at Poison Pen.

He can't wait for viewers to meet Detective Monica Kennedy and watch the show.
