China Boss Fires Employee for Not Letting Mother Attend Wedding

The boss of a company in China talked about a worker on July 21.

A worker did not invite his mother to his wedding because he was ashamed of how she looked. He was raised by his mother after his father died when he was two.

The boss asked how the worker could treat his mother like that after all she did for him.

The boss, Cui Peijun, is the founder of a machinery company.

The worker's mother used to work at the company and was moved to a different department when she was older. She kept getting paid the same amount.

The worker later said sorry and asked for his job back. He said it would be hard to find another job with similar pay. The boss said no because he did not respect the worker anymore.

People on social media had different opinions about the boss's decision.

Some people agreed with the boss, saying that a company cannot teach someone to be a good person. Others said that what the worker did at home is not the company's business and that firing him might be unfair.

The boss, Cui, was born into a poor family in 1965 and started his company in 2002 after working many different jobs.

The company cares about its workers being responsible and respecting their parents.

The company made $37.2 million in 2025 and gave $24.8 million to its workers as bonuses. It also does nice things for the workers' parents and has a fun game at the end of the year.

The boss is known as 'China's most generous boss' because of how he treats his workers.
