The hidden toll behind Shiho Nagisa’s shift from child star to adult‑video performer

Shiho Nagisa started performing at six, appearing in local musicals in Kagoshima Prefecture. While she joined school broadcasting clubs, her early fame made her a target for bullying, and she later developed severe anorexia.

After graduating high school, she moved to Tokyo with a voice‑acting agency and took small acting roles. During this period she says she faced sexual coercion and lost a major role after refusing the advance.

Nagisa then met an industry figure who promised to help her achieve her acting dream. She later described the relationship as “brainwashing”; the person became obsessive, demanding constant contact.

When her mother urged her to end the association, the individual sent a lawyer’s letter demanding 7 million yen (about 45,000 USD) to cover his expenses. Nagisa spent years in litigation before reaching a settlement.

Looking for a new direction, she tried swimwear modelling, which she enjoyed. In September 2023 she debuted as an adult‑video actress under the stage name Ruu Totsuka, and she says the change likely prevented her suicide.

Both of her parents now support her choices, and she reports feeling more stable after the turbulent years.
