People were told to keep their dogs away from Neil.

Neil was born in 2020 and comes back to Tasmania to rest and shed his skin.

The council spent $31,540 on traffic control, crowd management, and repairs over 15 nights.

Most of the council's costs were for staff and overtime.

The mayor said Neil's damage was not too expensive.

Neil scratched public property, which means some things need to be replaced, costing around $1,297.70.

People were told to stay at least 20 meters away from Neil.

The mayor said it is good that Neil did not cause more damage, considering all the attention he got.

The government used cars to block Neil from going onto the road.

Neil found ways to get back to his favorite spots on land.

Even electric fences could not stop Neil.

Neil will come back bigger and less predictable than before.

The government takes many steps to manage Neil's visits, including using wildlife experts and security.
