Liverpool Sale Talks Update

Liverpool owners, Fenway Sports Group, have started talks about selling part of the club. They are talking to a group led by Amit Bhatia, a former co-owner of Queens Park Rangers.

The group also has support from the Mittal family, who are very wealthy. Their net worth is over £26 billion.

There is no agreement yet, and talks are still at an early stage. However, Bhatia has left his role at QPR, which suggests he might be involved with Liverpool soon.

Bhatia is a British-Indian businessman and related to Lakshmi Mittal, a steel and mining company leader. FSG says they are discussing a significant minority stake in the club.

The talks are similar to a deal with Dynasty Equity in 2023, which was worth between £82m and £164m.
