Thailand Changes Visa Rules for Tourists

Thailand, the second largest economy in Southeast Asia, is reviewing its visa rules to stop abuse.

Thailand will end its 60-day visa-free stay for citizens of 93 countries and territories.

Tourists are visiting Bangkok's Chinatown in Thailand.

Citizens of 59 countries can visit Thailand without a visa for up to 30 days. Six more countries are added to this list.

People from Mauritius and Seychelles can visit Thailand without a visa for up to 15 days.

Citizens of Azerbaijan, Belarus, and Serbia can get a visa when they arrive in Thailand. Indian citizens will not get this option.

New visa rules will start 15 days after they are published. People who are already in Thailand can stay as long as their current visa allows.

Thailand is changing its visa rules to make them clearer and fairer, not to stop tourism, and to keep the country safe.
