Singapore Gets 8.17 Million Foreign Visitors in 6 Months

Singapore had 1.18 million international visitors in June, down 4.9% from last year. This is the lowest number of visitors in the first half of the year. The data comes from the Singapore Tourism Board.

Overnight visitors decreased by 8% to 850,380. The average stay was 3.59 days, 3.0% less than before. This shows that fewer people are visiting.

China sent the most visitors to Singapore in the first half of the year, with 1.53 million people, up 3.7% from last year. China is Singapore's biggest market.

Fewer visitors came from Indonesia and India, which affected tourism growth.

Indonesia, the second-largest market, sent 1.15 million visitors, down 10.6% from last year. This is a big decrease.

Visitors from India decreased by 6.6% to 604,000.

The government wants to attract 17-18 million visitors in 2026 and is investing more in tourism.

The government announced a $740 million funding package for tourism, which is more than twice the $300 million allocated in 2024, to support the tourism industry.
