I went to a great festival in a surprising part of the UK

For over 20 years, thousands of people have gone to a field in Cumbria to enjoy music, art, comedy, and have a great time.

Kendal Calling had its 21st festival, and it was bigger and more fun than ever, with the sun shining down on Lowther Park near Penrith.

Some people thought the organizers couldn't make this year's party better than last year's, but they did.

From Thursday to Sunday, Kendal Calling showed it's one of the best festivals.

What makes Kendal Calling special is that there's something for everyone to enjoy.

People of all ages, from teenagers to pensioners, can find something to love at the festival, with the beautiful Lake District as a backdrop.

The party started on Thursday with The Kooks headlining the main stage, along with other great bands.

Sunday at Kendal Calling is always relaxed, and our day started with a great breakfast at the Ranch 76 Smokehouse.

Sunday is also fancy dress day, and the costumes were better than ever, with a fun parade in the afternoon.

Primal Scream and Wolf Alice performed great sets, before the festival ended with a spectacular fireworks display.
