Indonesia Has Record Number of Tourists

Tourists are on holiday at Kuta beach in Bali, Indonesia.

In June, 1.39 million tourists visited Indonesia. This is 2.15% more than last year. Tourism is getting better.

Tourists spent more money in Indonesia in the second quarter. They spent an average of $1,285 per trip. This is 7.2% more than last year.

Indonesia wants 16-17 million tourists this year.

Other countries in Southeast Asia, like Malaysia and Vietnam, also had many tourists.

Malaysia had 21.12 million tourists in the first half of 2026. This is 2.5% more than last year. Malaysia is the most visited country in Southeast Asia.

Thailand had 16.7 million tourists from January to June. This is 3.09% less than last year.

Vietnam had 12.3 million tourists in the first six months. This is 14.9% more than last year.

Singapore had 8.12 million tourists. This is 1.7% less than last year because fewer people came from Indonesia and India.
