What Thao’s 30‑Year Step‑Motherhood Teaches Us
Bài học từ 30 năm làm mẹ kế của Thao
Source: Vietnamnet
Thao has been a stepmother for 30 years. Her story shows how compassion and hard work can change a family.
In 1996, after feeling deep compassion for four children, Thao married their widowed father. She worked tirelessly on farming, cutting firewood, trading goods and doing household chores to support the five children.
Because of her work, the children never had to wear torn clothes, could buy school supplies, and three of them went on to junior college or university; Ha is now a pharmacist. Thao also traveled more than 400 km in 2014 and again in 2019 to help her stepdaughter Ha with her newborn babies, showing continued support.
The stepchildren now thank her, keep regular contact, and have successful lives. Their story teaches that selfless dedication from a stepparent can reshape a family and bring lasting gratitude.
