Ho Chi Minh City has approved a new design for Nguyen Hue Flower Street for the 2027 Lunar New Year. The plan uses three parts, so the street will show both old culture and new ideas.

The three parts are called “Connection,” “Convergence,” and “Transformation and Breakthrough.” They aim to celebrate Vietnam’s traditional values, regional identities, creative ideas, modern technology, and the city’s growth goals.

Around the statue of President Ho Chi Minh, the street will be filled with yellow apricot blossoms and special five‑petal apricot blossom installations. These flowers will make a warm Tet feeling while keeping respect for the landmark.

Saigontourist Group will lead the project, working with the Department of Culture and Sports, local authorities, and other organisations. The 2026 flower street drew more than 1.8 million visitors, and the 2027 version is meant to link the past with the future, showing the city’s cultural identity and its hope for a dynamic future.
