Vingroup, Vietnam's biggest private conglomerate, announced a record after‑tax profit of almost US$1.7 billion for the first nine months of 2026. The figure is roughly six times higher than the profit reported a year earlier, making the result especially noteworthy for anyone watching corporate strategy.

The profit surge was underpinned by a sharp rise in revenue. Vingroup reported net revenue of VND372.5 trillion (about US$14.5 billion) for January‑September, which is 2.2 times the amount recorded in the same period last year. In the electric‑vehicle segment, VinFast delivered 211,242 cars worldwide during the first nine months, a 91 percent increase compared with 2025. The automaker also shipped more than 710,000 electric motorbikes, three times the volume of the previous year.

Vinhomes, Vingroup's flagship real‑estate arm, posted net revenue of VND202.586 trillion (US$7.89 billion), up 302 percent year on year. Its after‑tax profit rose 390 percent to VND75.059 trillion, comfortably exceeding its full‑year profit target.
